Roof Truss Design Software
When designing Roof Trusses, The cornerstone project lets users automatically or manually define/solve the roof planes to suit the building floor plan. This also allows trusses to be drawn on the layout and automatically formed to the shape of the planes. Users can also place trusses on the building floor plan in sets or areas for fast and accurate input. The cornerstone project has a range of roof end types that automatically create and set out trusses to suit the roof shape. It will also automatically brace the roof and ceiling according to local design criteria, and will also automatically design the truss boots and tie-down products and let you takeoff this information using a userdefined takeoff system that can be set to takeoff all materials or only those as specified by the user. Users can create or modify all trusses in “Free Style” mode using either the roof layout or truss listings.
When editing a truss, users can modify the truss shape by either selecting from a list of truss shapes (e.g. bowstring, cathedral and attic, etc.) or using a special truss shape by using the mouse to ‘Draw’ webs or drag the truss shape to suit any shape required. Users can create special truss shapes by clicking and dragging lines to represent top chords, bottom chords and webs or by setting reference lines. The cornerstone project also lets users generate and solve “Ceiling Trays” to create a range of shapes for the bottom chords of trusses to create raised ceilings, scissor trusses and cathedral, vaulted and bowstring ceiling profiles, etc. The cornerstone project is renowned for its ease of learning and comfortable interface allowing the fast turnaround of your quoting and design requirements with superior design flexibility and intuitiveness.
- User defined takeoff automatically calculates all extra BOM items to suit the user’s requirements.
- Designs all trusses and rafters and automatically checks and adds loads to trusses if they are connected in the layout.
- Use the mouse to draw webs as per users requirements.
- Drag and drop service loads (e.g. solar hot water systems and air-conditioning units, etc.) , onto the layout for automatic truss loading.
